Former legislator, head of conservative Council for National Policy sees Wagner as conservative leader
Irvine, California – Former Council for National Policy Executive Director and former Assemblyman Steve Baldwin today announced his support for Don Wagner's bid for State Assembly.
"To impact real change for the conservative movement in Sacramento, we need to elect leaders like Don who understand the impact of the policies proposed," said Baldwin. "I have confidence that Don will bring a new approach and innovative ideas that will serve his district, not Sacramento's special interests."
"Steve is a world class activist who comprehends the steps needed to advance the conservative movement," said Wagner. "I look forward to working with Steve and the Council for National Policy to bring genuine solutions to clean up the mess that Sacramento's liberal policies have produced."
Mr. Baldwin was executive director of the Council for National Policy from 2000-2009 and was a member of the California Assembly 1994-2000 where he chaired the Assembly Education Committee.
Don Wagner and his wife, Megan, and their three children live in Irvine. He is a graduate of UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board's president. Don was a founder of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
