Community Leader Jim Righeimer Endorses Wagner
"The conservative choice on June 8th"

Irvine, California – Jim Righeimer, long time Orange County community leader and chairman of the Costa Mesa Planning Commission and the Orange County Housing Authority, has announced his support for Don Wagner for the 70th Assembly District.

"The choice to replace Chuck DeVore in the State Assembly is obvious: Don Wagner," said Righeimer.  "Don has been a great example of principled leadership as president of the South Orange County Community College Board of Trustees and has committed himself to many local causes including serving as president of the American Lung Association of Orange County, founding chairman of the Orange County Federalist Society, and in 1996, he was a finalist for Irvine's "Citizen of the Year."

"Don has demonstrated his commitment to Orange County and has proven himself as a leader who knows how to balance budgets and make tough decisions.  Don is the conservative choice on June 8th," said Righeimer.

"I am grateful for Jim's support and friendship and appreciate everything he does to support Orange County," said Wagner.

Jim Righeimer is the Chairman of the Costa Mesa Planning Commission, a small business owner, husband and father of four.  Jim is also Chairman of the Orange County Housing Authority and a Board Member for Mercy House, a non-profit group that provides emergency services, transitional housing and permanent housing with supportive services to homeless men, women and children living in Orange County.  In addition, Jim serves on the Orange County Supervisor's Airport Land-Use Commission, as well as helping to found the Family Action committee.

Don Wagner and his wife, Megan, and their three children live in Irvine. He is a graduate of UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board's president. Don was a founder of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
