Irvine, California – One of California's leading conservative voices in Sacramento, Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley), has announced his support of Don Wagner for the 70th Assembly District.
Runner joins Senators Tony Strickland and Mark Wyland supporting Wagner as the proven conservative choice for Republicans on June 8th.
"Don has been a great leader as the president of the South Orange County Community College Board of Trustees, delivering balanced budgets and smart economic policies to those who rely on our community college system," said Runner, a veteran conservative leader. "We need hands-on experience from people like Don in Sacramento if we are going to improve the business environment and create new jobs."
"George Runner has spent his career fighting for taxpayers in California and he is recognized as one of the true taxpayer champions in Sacramento," said Wagner. "He has been a principled leader and I am proud to have him on my team. I look forward to working with him to balance our budget and improve our business climate."
Don Wagner and his wife, Megan, and their three children live in Irvine. He is a graduate of UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board's president. Don was a founder of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
