Friday, April 16, 2010

Irvine, California – Don Wagner, president of the South Orange County Community College Board of Trustees, has united both California Young Republican organizations behind his candidacy for the 70th Assembly District.

"Don Wagner is the right choice for our generation," said Jenniffer Rodriguez, chairman of the California Young Republicans. "He understands how important it is to get our budget balanced and cut spending so that we have the same opportunities to succeed as those generations before us."

"The Young Republican Federation of California is proud to endorse Don Wagner for State Assembly," said chairman Adam Abrahms.  "Don has been a proven leader as president of the South Orange County Community College Board of Trustees, balancing budgets while paying off debt and expanding enrollment."

"The hard work that California's young Republicans put into GOP campaigns is the fuel of the conservative movement. These are the leaders of tomorrow for our party and our state," said Wagner.  "I appreciate their efforts and am proud of their support."

Don Wagner and his wife, Megan, and their three children live in Irvine. He is a graduate of UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board's president. Don was a founder of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
