Irvine, California — Last night, the Orange County Young Republicans unanimously endorsed South Orange County Community College Trustee Don Wagner for State Assembly.
Wagner, who has served on the South Orange Community College Board since 1998, was humbled by the showing, "This is a remarkable group of young leaders who care deeply about the direction of our state and our country and I am really proud to have them supporting my campaign. The OCYRs are an active group of young professionals and I look forward to working with them."
Erik Brown, political director for the OCYR's said, "It's exciting to see YRs so unified behind a candidate and Don Wagner is a great candidate for us to get behind. He represents a new face for the party and is committed to the principles that made the GOP great. We know he will continue to be a great friend to our organization and we are looking forward to working with him on his march to Sacramento."
Don Wagner and his wife, Megan, and their three children live in Irvine. He is a graduate of UCLA and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board's president. Don was a founder of the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
