Over 150 Republican Activists, Volunteers and Donors Turnout to Launch Campaign
Newport Beach, CA- Last night, Don Wagner, conservative candidate for the 70th Assembly District, kicked off his campaign at the Balboa Bay & Club Resort in Newport Beach.
The event was hosted by Tom Fuentes, former Chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County, and John Williams, Orange County Public Administrator/Public Gaurdian. Radio host Hugh Hewitt and many conservative elected officials and leaders turned out with more than 150 supporters to pack the event and make it a huge success.
"Thank you so much to all my friends and supporters who joined us last night to show their support. The evening was very positive, my conservative message well received, and it was a great way to kick off my campaign," said Wagner. "I am very excited about the coming campaign and the opportunity to carry my message to the community."
Wagner is quickly establishing himself as the conservative choice in the race to succeed conservative leader Chuck DeVore, who is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate.
Don spoke to the large crowd about his experience on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, the board's record of consistant, sound fiscally conservative governing, and his goals for his time in Sacramento. Don has been elected to three consecutive terms on the Board of Trustees of the South Orange County Community College District, and currently serves as the Board's president. Don founded the Orange County chapter of the Federalist Society, a nationwide organization of 40,000 conservative lawyers, law students, and scholars dedicated to preserving the rule of law from activist courts.
